JUST IN: Democrats easily win GOP-held state House seat in Florida district Trump won

Democratic candidate Margaret Good defeated her Republican opponent by a significant margin to flip a GOP-held state House seat in a Florida district that Trump won in 2016.

The Hill reported that Margaret Good defeated Republican James Buchanan by a 52-45 margin in a special election for Florida House District 72, marking the 36th state legislative seat Democrats have flipped in a special election since Trump’s election.

Just last week, a Democrat won a special election in Missouri in a district that Donald Trump won by a 61-33 margin—the party's second flip this year, following a surprise in Wisconsin in January.
